Mission
Our mission is to study Catholic doctrine thoroughly and scientifically, grounded in Sacred Scripture, living Church Tradition, and contemporary scientific knowledge. We foster interdisciplinarity and develop theological thought that authentically responds to the questions and needs of modern humanity, while always remaining faithful to the Magisterium of the Church and the highest academic standards.
In order to fulfill its mission and vision, the Faculty will continue to strive to:
- promote and foster the scientific character of theological disciplines by deepening the understanding of Christian revelation and presenting the truths contained within it
- help find answers to the questions posed by today’s culture
- provide students with a high-quality level of study
- prepare and educate students for the morally responsible and competent acceptance of future ministries and obligations
- promote the ongoing formation of those who serve in various ministries within the Church
- promote the ongoing formation of those who have found their place in social or private institutions; establish cooperation with other academic and scientific institutions, and in a special way with the constituent units of the University of Osijek, in accordance with its evangelizing mission
- contribute to and serve the society in which it is situated, promoting the common good
- promote the spirit of ecumenism, especially with the Orthodox Churches.
